Founded a century ago by the father of the current leader, Liz, Corso, Inc. has flourished under her visionary guidance and continues to thrive as a family-run business. Today, Corso, Inc. stands as a beacon of success, with Liz's daughter, sons, and grandson all playing integral roles in the company's operations.
From its humble beginnings, Corso, Inc. has grown into a multifaceted enterprise specializing in a diverse range of products, including cigarettes, tobacco, candy, drinks, sandwich meals, cookies, pens, and pencils. This extensive product offering, combined with an unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, has solidified Corso, Inc.'s strong presence in the wholesale industry.
Liz, a formidable businesswoman, has skillfully passed on the torch to her family, ensuring that Corso, Inc. remains a family-centric operation. Liz's daughter oversees the micro markets, store, casinos, and school operations; her middle son manages the company’s computers, cell phones, and radio operations; and her other son handles wholesale product purchasing and logistics. Recently, her grandson, Jack Joachim IV, has joined the organization, bringing fresh perspectives and already making a positive impact on the business.
Beyond her successful business endeavors, Liz is a highly respected and active member of various organizations and boards. Her leadership extends to serving on the Peoples Bank Board, as well as holding Board Member positions at Tulane Gulf Coast University, Merit Health Biloxi, Biloxi First, Gulf Coast Carnival Association, Ohr O’Keefe Museum, Salvation Army, and Gulf Coast Business Council Masters Program and Legislative Committees. Liz's involvement in these esteemed institutions underscores her dedication to the betterment of her community and the region.
